Goals and Missions

Board of Education Goals
2014-2015

Goal #1 – There is a need to finish off the construction projects, especially the high school’s renovation with the QZAB. Major decisions need to made with regard to priorities and finances/funding.

Goal #2 – With many unknowns facing the school district in the coming months, the BOE needs to plan for and participate in the review and transition of leadership.

Goal #3 – Mapping out a strategy for the financial crisis is important and necessary. In addition to the Budget, the BOE will work on these items:

  • Reviewing the supplements that are throughout the district, in terms of the co-curricular and extra-curricular titles and positions.
  • The BOE desires to review the possibility of moving from a per-meeting pay system to a salary-based payment program.
  • The BOE has a keen interest in the Activity Accounts and other items that were addressed in the review of our financial workings by the state auditor. Thus, as the entity with ultimate responsibility to the state, the BOE will more closely monitor the findings of the annual audit.
