Parent Input Requested for Title I and Title II

What? You are invited to provide input and assist us in developing the Lamar County School System’s Parent Involvement Policy, District Improvement Plan, and Comprehensive Needs Assessment. Your input is invaluable to our planning and providing the best service for your child’s success.

Why? The Lamar County School System receives Title IA and Title IIA funds as a part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). Title I is designed to support academic standards and provide resources to improve teaching and learning for low-achieving students. Title IA also provides funding to increase and improve parent involvement. Title IIA provides resources for recruitment, retention, and professional learning to enhance teacher and leader quality.

How?  The deadline for the opportunity to complete the Annual Parent Quality Survey is passed but you can continue to provide input at anytime on the Parent Involvement Policy, District Improvement Plan, and Comprehensive Needs Assessment which are posted below for your review. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Norma J. Greenwood, at 770.358.5891 or ngreenwd@lamar.k12.ga.us for additional information. This plans will be online all year for your input anytime.
