The Inaugural EMT Program at LCHS Prepares Students for College and Careers
The Lamar County School System and AmeriPro Health are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership aimed at creating a robust workforce pipeline in healthcare. This collaboration will not only benefit the local community but also provide students with invaluable skills and job opportunities. The partnership between Lamar County School System and AmeriPro Health is designed to provide students with hands-on training and real-world experience in the healthcare sector.
Through this initiative, students complete Emergency Medical Technician Dual Enrollment courses through Southern Crescent Technical College. In addition, they receive training from AmeriPro staff and complete clinical training at local EMT facilities, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts.
One of the key components of this partnership is the opportunity for students to interview with AmeriPro Health, qualify for tuition reimbursement, and be considered for employment upon successful completion of the program. This not only gives students a head start in their careers but also allows them to explore different career paths within the healthcare sector.
This partnership between Lamar County School System and AmeriPro Health builds upon existing partnership agreements both organizations have with Southern Crescent Technical College.
