Important Notice Regarding Form 1095-C Availability Due to new legislation passed at the end of 2024, employers classified as Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) are no longer required to distribute Form 1095-C to all employees automatically. Instead, these forms will be provided only upon direct request. Form 1095-C is not required for individual tax reporting purposes, and employees do not need to submit this form when filing their taxes. However, if you wish to receive a copy of your Form 1095-C, you may request one by contacting Christina Crane at chrisitna.crane@lamar.k12.ga.us. Lamar County Schools is committed to compliance with all applicable regulations, and this notice serves as a clear, conspicuous, and accessible means of informing employees of their right to request a copy of their form. While the IRS has not provided specific guidance on what qualifies as “clear, conspicuous, and accessible,” we are making a good-faith effort to meet these standards. We’re excited to report all Lamar County Schools will be open under normal operating hours tomorrow, Friday, January 24th. We look forward to seeing students and staff back on campus!

Due to dangerous road conditions, all Lamar County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd. We plan to reopen during normal operating hours Friday.  Stay safe and enjoy this time with friends and family. We have a lot of makeup work in the weeks ahead.

Lamar County Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 10th, due to weather-related concerns. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, as hazardous weather could create unsafe conditions for bus travel and commuting.

Trick or Treat Read 2024 The Lamar County School System, with funds from the L4GA Grant, will be giving away free books and literacy materials to all children, birth through middle school age, in front of the Barnesville-Lamar County Library on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5-8 p.m.

Due to the threat of Hurricane Helene, all Lamar County Schools and offices will be closed on Friday, September 27. We will maintain normal operating hours on Thursday, September 26. Stay safe, Trojan Nation!

Lamar County Federal Programs Title I Annual Community Meeting
